Ortiz brings more than 25 years of pharmaceutical operations leadership experience
Woodstock, IL, August 11, 2026 – Woodstock Sterile Solutions, a leading blow-fill-seal (BFS) contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO), has appointed pharmaceutical industry veteran Wilfredo Ortiz as General Manager.
Ortiz has more than 25 years of pharmaceutical operations leadership experience, including extensive expertise in blow-fill-seal (BFS) packaging technology, sterile manufacturing, aseptic operations, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. He joins Woodstock Sterile Solutions from Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, where he most recently served as Vice President and Site Head.
Prior to Glenmark, Ortiz had a lengthy career at Allergan (now part of AbbVie), where he led operations at the company’s Waco, Texas facility. The site included eight BFS machines, along with sterile fill, compounding, unit dose packaging, and aseptic processing operations, distributing products globally.

Reporting to Karras, Ortiz is responsible for leading site execution and partnering across functions throughout the organization to lead and support safety, quality, compliance, performance, and culture.
